Random issue with AI 20.9.1 License on Jenkins server

After upgrading to 20.9.1 we've ran into following issue: sometimes our packages (built in Jenkins via AI) display "The package was created with a trial version of Advanced Installer..." popup window.
A path to 20.9.1 AdvancedInstaller.com was hardcoded, so it's not about running a wrong version.
For now the problem has gone away as suddenly as it appeared but obviously this might happen again. So I was wondering if you've had similar cases before and maybe you can advise me on this matter

Re: Random issue with AI 20.9.1 License on Jenkins server

Hello,

If possible, on the machine this is happening, could you please open Advanced Installer and let me know if you are logged into your account?

We can easily check that in the top right corner of the start page:

If that's the case, could you please logout of that, manually register Advanced Installer and let me know if this scenario ever reoccurs after?

Some things have recently changed there and the "biggest" change would be that the license assigned to "My account" will always have priority over the one on the machine.

From the above, we have the scenario where a user can have an account, but no license assigned to that account. If manually registered, when the latest versions of Advanced Installer are installed, it will go to "My account" where it will find no license and basically overwrite the registered license with that (basically reverting to trial).

Obviously, this is not something we wanted so I apologize for the inconvenience it might have caused you guys! Unfortunately, after discussing with the dev team it looks like there were some limitations that couldn't be avoided.

Thank you very much for your understanding!

Best regards,

Catalin,
Thanks for your help.
Your solution has worked and the trial window has disappeared.
Let's hope the license trouble will not repeat like before )

Hello,

I am sorry to hear that.

Are you logged off your account on the machine where this happened?

I do not quite see how the license reset if you're logged off.

Is the machine where this happened a VM perhaps, without internet connection?

If so, could you please forward me your license key by email at support at advancedinstaller dot com?

Hi, Catalin!
After repeating the logging-off ->manual registration procedure our devops was able to get rid of license issue for the last two days, so looks like the trouble is gone
